Diane wanted a board to help her pull together her vintage Mexican inspired wedding. Her colors are white, red, and aqua, and she wants to incorporate Mexican traditions to celebrate her and her fiance’s heritage. To fit the bill, this board includes Mexican wedding cookie favors, white papeles picados, and a tequila bar among other things. I would also have galvanized tubs of Mexican sodas, like Jarritos and Peñafiel, and if I could have found better images I would have made sure to include white tissue paper flowers.

I saw this gorgeous necklace, made with a quail egg lined with gold leaf, and I immediately thought of the dessert buffet from Katie and Ian’s wedding featured in the Fall 2007 issue of Martha Stewart Weddings. From those two points of inspiration I came up with this wedding befitting a wood nymph princess.

Raney is a friend of my dear friend Elizabeth, and she’s getting married in September in Tennessee. As far as the wedding goes, Raney’s way more excited about being married to the love of her life than planning all the details – which, if you’re going to be excited about one or the other, is definitely the way to go. And there’s people like me who love the details, so that works out well! I hope this board is helpful to you, Raney!

Lauren is in the interesting position of holding her reception at the same location where two weeks later her good friend will be having her own wedding! She wants a traditional wedding, in apricot and green hues, and needed some inspiration for making it stand out from her friend’s wedding. Passing out miniature desserts (like the cotton candy here, or tiny milkshakes, or miniature pies) is a unique way to end dinner. A golf cart as a getaway car is a fun and slightly different way to depart.

In this dramatic centerpiece, Ariella included lemons, black elderberries and cattleya orchids. Black and yellow are such a bold pairing, so I imagined this board was for a couple with bold style, while at the same time incorporating traditional details.
