Last week, before leaving California, I had the pleasure of meeting Melissa of Ruby Press. If you haven’t seen her blog, definitely take a look – she shares such special things, and has such great taste. We met up for afternoon tea at the darling (and brand new!) Crown & Crumpet. Not only are the tea and treats delightfully good, but the place itself is a confection of stylish florals, chandeliers, and pink-and-white checkered floors. It is absolutely perfect for bridal showers and birthday parties, and I couldn’t help myself – I had to make an inspiration board with Crown & Crumpet in mind.

Mood: sweet, feminine

This palette might be entirely too sweet for some, but I could not resist creating an inspiration board with the colors in the lemon photo by Francine Zaslow. Maybe it is more suited to a bridal shower or a little girl’s birthday party, but I think that if done well, these colors together could make for a lovely wedding.

Mood: sweet, bright, young
Palette: lemon yellow, pistachio green, pink grapefruit
