This weekend is going to be action packed! I will be checking out some wedding venues (!) and spending some quality time with my girl friends to celebrate one of them getting married this fall. And then as soon as that’s over, I get to pack my life into boxes and move to an entirely new state… I’m sure I’ll be asking all of you for your tips and recommendations. In the meantime, here are some of my favorite links from around the web this week…

Twinkle, twinkle little string lights.

I’m in love with this imaginary couple’s wedding shoot.

Never thought I wanted a garter. Until now.

If you’re not already dreaming of summer, you will be.

But if you don’t want to say goodbye to spring just yet, check out my spring wedding posts over at Ritzy Bee, here, here, here and here.

Yes, I know – we’ve already covered how much I love green and white, and whenever I’m feeling pressed for a color palette, I challenge myself to make a green and white inspiration board that looks new. I’m not sure if this succeeds at that, but I sure do love the various shades here, and the old fashioned garden look. For any of you who are struggling with choosing wedding colors, I suggest that you strongly consider this simple palette. It will work in almost any venue, every season, and it can be made to look however you like, from romantic to traditional to sleek and modern.

Mood: old-fashioned garden romance
Palette: bottle green, olive, chalk

Well friends, I’m finally back! With an interstate move and a trip to check out wedding venues, I’m going to be quite the busy bee over these next couple weeks, so I might be a bit slow to respond to emails, but I will do my best to stay on top of things at Snippet & Ink! I know that for many, Memorial Day marks the unofficial start of summer, so I wanted to post an inspiration board that conveyed that sweet and simple summer feel. Baskets of fruit serve as centerpieces, lunch is simple sandwiches and soda, and polka dots add whimsy. Enjoy!

Jocelyn Mathewes of Studio Mathewes Photography says that the best part of her job is that it feels like play – she loves being part of a couple’s special day, and getting to help them save the memories from that day. And Jocelyn’s love for her work comes through in the lovely images that she captures – see for yourself!

This is just a small sampling of some of my favorite shots, but you can see so many more over at the Studio Mathewes website, and their blog of course. Beautiful photos, Jocelyn!
