Planning our honeymoon was just as fun (sometimes more fun!) than planning our wedding, and I still daydream about the perfect vacation (you should see my Travel and Adventure board on Pinterest). Needless to say, I’m always so happy to share Traveler’s Joy with my readers. For couples who want an alternative to the traditional wedding registry, Traveler’s Joy makes registering for your honeymoon a cinch. Whether you want to sunbathe in the Bahamas, explore the wonders of Glacier National Park, or see Venice by gondola, your friends and family can contribute to the trip of a lifetime.

Traveler’s Joy makes it super easy to set up your honeymoon registry. Using one of their pre-made theme-based (think beach or mountains) or location specific (think Greece or Brazil) registries, you can instantly add items and experiences with a single click. And because Traveler’s Joy allows you to register for any portion of your honeymoon, you’re not limited to flights or hotel stays. Register for luggage, guidebooks – even hiking boots or snorkeling gear!

Not only has Traveler’s Joy streamlined the registry set-up process, their system also makes it really easy to divide the cost of expensive items into manageable gift portions. Dying to take a helicopter tour of Kauai that costs $400? Split it into 4 gifts of $100, making it possible for friends and family to contribute to more expensive items and experiences.

And if you’re still figuring out what your dream honeymoon looks like, there are thousands of real honeymoon stories and real registries from Traveler’s Joy members to inspire you!

What are you up to this weekend? I’ll be taking it easy, fending off my second cold of the season (I’m clearly not taking enough Vitamin C), trying to get well before heading of to Salt Lake City for Alt! And nothing makes me feel better than kitties!

My friend Leah McCormick is here today to share this sweet wine country wedding…

Welcome bags included personalized aluminum water bottles, cookies, organic almonds, area maps and weekend information.

Bridesmaids chose their own dresses in a gold or champagne palette. And how sweet is this patch stitched into the groom’s jacket?!

Rachel was kind enough to answer some questions about the day:

Why did you choose this location for your wedding?  Healdsburg is one of our favorite places in the world. We went there for the weekend right after we got engaged, and we decided that even though we are both from the East Coast, it was the perfect place for us to say “I do.” We hoped that our family and friends would be excited about a trip to beautiful wine country, and it turns out all of our guests missed Hurricane Irene – so it worked out great!

What inspired you when you were planning your wedding?  We wanted the wedding to be very true to who we are. We made all of the decisions together, especially since we were so far away from family in the planning process. Music and food were very important to us (Justin plays the piano and sings and I am getting my masters degree in Food Studies). Our theme was the line “where you invest your love, you invest your life” by Mumford & Sons.

What was your favorite moment or part of the day?  The ceremony. It was the best. Our family friend married us and he was perfect (most of his ceremony was a surprise to us), and two of our best friends in our bridal party sang a duet of “You are the Best Thing” by Ray LaMontagne. It was amazing. Being picked up on the dance floor during “Shout” was pretty fun too.

What advice do you have for other brides?  1) Embrace the imperfections – they become part of the whole, which will be perfect no matter what.  2) Dance with your grandparents.  3) Use Etsy.
