Monthly Archives: November 2012

Who doesn’t love a little bling on a Monday? Especially when it’s as sweet as the Sally Stardust ring from Betsey Sook (that’s Sally in the middle there):

Aren’t these rings beautiful?! Based in Copenhagen, Betsey Sook creates ethical engagement rings in super feminine designs at affordable prices. Says Betsey, “The style is all about quiet luxury…making women feel pretty, glamorous and effortless all at the same time.”

Valued at $785, Sally is available in a variety of sizes from 5¾ to 7. And one lucky Snippet & Ink reader gets to win a Sally ring! Made of white quartz, she’s light and sparkly, like a little drop of water set in 14k gold. Lovely!

To enter, visit the Betsey Sook website, then come back and leave a comment on this post that includes the following: 1) your favorite piece of Betsey Sook jewelry and 2) one word that you feel best describes Betsey Sook’s designs (get creative!). And of course make sure to leave your email in the comment form so we can get in touch if you’re the winner!

Contest begins Monday, November 5, 2012 at 5:30AM PST, and ends Thursday, November 8, 2012 at 11:59PM PST. The winner will be selected by Snippet & Ink, and notified by email. Please note: winner must live in the United States or Canada (excluding Quebec).

I did have some links to share with you today, but I can’t stop thinking about everyone who has been affected by Hurricane Sandy, and I thought it was important to acknowledge the terrible aftermath of the storm. The photos have been mind boggling and the stories are just heartbreaking. If you’re looking for ways to help, Charity Navigator is a great place to start, and this link has a list of reputable places to donate.

Just two links for you today:

More rainbows after the storm.

I’m reminded of the importance of having an emergency preparedness kit on hand. Do you have one?

Have a safe, happy weekend everyone.

Looking for a diamond engagement ring that is of the highest quality, and that is guaranteed to be both eco-friendly and conflict-free? Check out the stunning lab-created diamonds from Gemesis.

I know, I know. When I first heard the term lab-created diamonds, I thought that was just another way of saying cubic zirconia. Boy was I wrong! Lab-created diamonds (sometimes called cultured or man-made diamonds) don’t just look like diamonds – they are chemically and physically identical to natural diamonds. Meaning: they are diamonds! Plus, because they are grown in a controlled environment, they have a much smaller carbon footprint than mined diamonds, and are origin-guaranteed (meaning you can rest assured they are conflict-free diamonds).

The best part of these gorgeous diamonds from Gemesis? Not only are they eco-friendly and conflict-free, but they are also less expensive than their natural mined counterparts. Now that’s something to be excited about! Check out all the custom bridal jewelry Gemesis has to offer, and discover the beauty of lab-created diamonds.
