From Dairy Queen blizzards to meaningful details—see our favorites from 2017 below!
“We didn’t have a wedding cake – we had mini DAIRY QUEEN blizzards! Matt and I had a love affair with Dairy Queen in college and many of our friends and family know it’s a personal favorite. We also had some baked goods for people if they didn’t want the blizzards.” Photography by KENDRA STANLEY-MILLS. Event Planning & Design: KENLEY EVENT DESIGN.
Says bride Jessie, “my father, who passed away three years ago, had several classic cars. For my siblings’ weddings, he had either driven them in one of his cars or lent one to my brother for him to drive them. In his absence, we parked two of our favorites near the entrance to the tent and decorated them with garlands and flowers flowing out of the car trunks. I think he would have loved it.” Floral design by ROUNTREE FLOWERS. Photography by JOCELYN FILLEY.
“I had my seamstress sew a purple heart into the hem of my dress for Prince. He passed away just a couple weeks before the wedding. I grew up near his home studio in Minnesota and have always been a huge fan of his. We even chose one of his songs for the opening line of our ceremony!” Photography by LIZ BANFIELD.
