Wouldn’t it be wonderful to have several of these prehistoric-looking trees at your wedding venue? If you’ve gone through enough of my inspiration boards, you already know how much I love Southern magnolias. The enormous, fragrant waxy blooms stand well enough on their own, and clustered together they’re magnificent – a single bloom is lovely for a bouquet, and a bunch of them would be quite dramatic. I also love the magnolia’s dark green leaves, and think they make for a perfect garland over the church or reception venue’s doorway, wrapped around a staircase, or draped on a fireplace mantle.

Mood: traditional Southern style
