Montana is one of those places that is really a part of who I am. I grew up spending summers there, with lots of extended family and friends, no television, and a good look at something that was utterly different from the Bay Area where I lived the rest of the year. I just spent the last two weeks there, and it was as hard to leave this year as it always is, so how could I not make a Montana-inspired wedding board? I’m sure this might work for other places, too, but for me it is unquestionably Montana. (I think everyone has a place like this – what’s yours?)

Mood: rustic, unfussy
Palette: whatever nature has to offer

I am so excited to see this board. Big Sky is one of my favorite places in the world! I’ve been 6 times now and fall in love with it all over again every time I go. Beautiful board! Big Sky would be a fabulous location for a wedding.

I love your geographically influenced boards! They are always so charming. I’d love to see a Newport, RI board–my place of summers, family, and great memories…

I was born and raised in Montana, although I don’t live there now. Seeing your board made me very homesick! For many reasons, my fiance and I decided not to get married in Montana. However, a part of me wishes we did! I think your board captured the landscape perfectly!

I love this board and the sentiments. For me, it’s Berkeley. Now a days, that’s pretty nearby. And um, the wedding location.

You are so amazing; I have been quietly lurking for quite some time, and all images are nothing short of inspirational. This is no exception. Country girl here, but planning an urban wedding. This makes me reconsider!!

Just lovely. You’ve perfectly captured the easy living feeling of Montant! I’ve been missing home (Idaho) for a long time now, and this made it better and worse at the same time. :)

Wow. This is practically the wedding I’m planning–although, it will be in Vermont. I’d love to see more like this. The inspiration is infinite. Even our “colors” are exactly the same. We’re using: Chocolate and wood-grains, slate (like stone), white flowers, leafy green, and glass.

Kathryn, you never, ever, cease to amaze. This board looks like home to me. I’m not from Montana but if you head directly North, that’s where you’ll find me, and it looks a lot like this. Beautiful. Beautiful. Beautiful.
