Board #270 | Little Prairie Wedding

Hi all! Sorry for the late post today! The idea for this board started with the sweet stitch sampler from Purl Bee, and inspired this faded, folksy prairie wedding. And it feels like a perfect way to celebrate late summer and the coming of fall. It also blends two of my favorite looks: vintage and rustic. I would pull old grain sacks into this wedding, maybe sewn together as a tablecloth or table runner, and let regional wildflowers play a prominent role in decor. And if you’re planning on having brave and generous friends and family pull together a meal for you, maybe you can include shucking corn as a rehearsal dinner activity…

Mood: prairie Americana
Palette: sun-faded yellow, green, brown, orange
