A few months ago I made an all-white inspiration board that was slightly modern, in shades of cool white and gray. Today’s board also uses an all-white palette, but it is warmer, and though the difference might be subtle, it does create a distinct look. The large round balloons, kitschy paper bells, and a cake decorated with crepe paper flowers add a touch of whimsy to a classic and sophisticated wedding. Cherry red nail polish adds just a touch of unexpected color. And how much do I love that dress by Victoria Beckham – who knew?

Mood: warm and classic, whimsical romance
Palette: warm white, cream, pale yellow

I’ve just discovered your blog, and absolutely love all of your ideas! I’m currently tossing around the idea of gray bridesmaids dresses and fuchsia accents for my own wedding? Have you done any gray and fuchsia inspirational boards?? Do you have any suggestions?

So pretty and timeless. This is the way to do a “white wedding.”

I tried on a dress like that – designer – Nehman Marcus – still under $500 (funny how when it’s just a white dress, not a wedding dress, the price is a order of MAGNITUDE less, sigh) Anyway, I loved it, I wouldn’t take it off. It was so simple, but so great. No quite right for the garden party we are having but so right for something more modern or a courthouse bash.

Oh yes, so chic and elegant! Me and my hubby had a white wedding with some cutesy things added in. I actually picked out my engagement ring on http://www.idonowidont.com/newsite.php, totally recommended btw, just ask Rachel Ray! Anyways at our wedding we had cupcakes and heart shaped candies for the guests and confetti with our pictures on them!

Gorgeous! I’m using shades of white and cream as the foundation for our palette, so I love boards like this. There’s something so orderly yet romantic about white-on-white.

White is always in good taste. When in doubt, choose white for your wedding. Unless you are a guest of course. :-)
