Board #300 | Birds in City Square

I love the elegance and movement in this photo by Elizabeth Messina, not to mention the bluish slate gray color. So it served as the inspiration for today’s wedding board! The palette is muted and cool, and the bird motif lends a whimsical element.

Mood: classical sophistication, muted whimsy
Palette: slate gray, powder blue

Lovely! I can see it working nicely for winter and spring. :) And, it reminds me of Marie Antoinette in a way.

  • I realize this is not related to the post, but I was curious if you have done an inspiration board for chocolate brown and aqua blue?? I love your boards and this is the palette I am working with for my wedding. (along with ivory and taupe)I would love to look at it for inspiration if you have done one!!

I agree – this would be beautiful for a winter wedding! It’s hard to plan a winter wedding without snowflakes being the central theme!

This is one of the most gorgeous inspiration boards I’ve seen in awhile. I first saw it a few days ago and keep coming back to feast on it’s loveliness. If I could do my wedding all over again, I know I’d want to implement these colors!
