There is no doubt that I love the beautiful, thoughtful details that go into a wedding day, and often those details add up to something that is either costly or time consuming – or both! I wanted to create an inspiration board with special details without being overwhelmingly expensive or elaborate. I imagine an intimate ceremony followed by a low key dessert and coffee reception at a favorite cafe. A Quaker wedding certificate, signed by every guest, takes the place of a guest book. In their invitations, guests would receive a book plate and note indicating that the couple would prefer to receive a favorite book than traditional gifts. The bride would wear a skirt and jacket, and definitely a sassy custom hat. The groom would wear jeans, a vest and a pair of classic brown Oxfords. And how about a fabulous cocktail ring in lieu of a traditional engagement ring?
