Ever since the last issue of Martha Stewart Weddings came out, I’ve been wanting to make an inspiration board around this gardenia bouquet. The combination of a timeless, elegant flower with the unexpected pop of orange-heavy coral seemed perfect to me, and I wanted to make a wedding board that reflected that sense of tradition with a twist. These colors would work well in any season, and play off one another beautifully – and they’re a nice twist on pink and green. (Also, if you haven’t seen the original article from Martha Stewart Weddings, it’s a wonderful concept: inspired bouquets – much like inspired wedding boards!)

Mood: tradition with a twist
Palette: gardenia white, emerald, coral

I love gardenias. I wanted a gardenia bouquet but my florist said they was too delicate. i wore on in my hair instead. it was all i could do to keep from smelling it all night!
