How about a little retro for your day? Not that I’m not loving this springtime, but when I saw this photo of an orange cream float on Beth Helmstetter’s blog, I could not resist a quick detour into summer. And, if you want to enjoy one of these treats without designing your entire wedding around it, here’s a recipe from Country Living. (It really would make a cute party, though.)

Mood: tangerine dream
Palette: orange and creme

I am partial to orange. All shades of orange. I love orange tulips and snaps and ranunculus in the spring and definitely orange dahlias in the summer and fall. We have several brides going with orange/plum this year and a couple going with orange/fushia. Should be beautiful.

Wow, I can't believe I never thought of orange as a wedding colour before! This board looks fantastic as a whole, and I love almost everything on it: the tissue paper pompoms, the invite, the fans, the bombe, the headpiece, the vintage dress. Orange may be my new favourite colour!
