I’ve got a miserable cold, and I’m up to my eyeballs in test prep material. What a horrible way to spend a gorgeous Sunday. So I thought I’d take a break and post a board to add a little happy to my (and your) day.

Maybe it’s because the trees have traded verdant leaves for fiery ones, but I am craving some green. Green and white are such a classic pair, and the addition of black makes it all new. This board could be the inspiration for a refined event on a sprawling estate, a lovely vineyard wedding, or an intimate backyard occasion. Enjoy!

Mood: refreshing, refined
Palette: green, black, white

Whether your event takes place in a friend’s garden or in the local botanical gardens, a garden wedding is one of the sweetest things I can imagine. What a great opportunity to play up an already beautiful setting. Here are two takes on the garden wedding.

Board #39: Pink and Green

How have I not done a pink and green board yet? It’s such a classic color combination, especially for a wedding. Especially for a garden wedding!

Mood: preppy, classic
Palette: pink, green

At first glance, these boards may not seem so different. They are both Winter boards, and they are both white. But, as any interior designer will tell you (Mom…?), the impact made by warm whites is quite different than that made by cool whites. Both would make for a stunning event.

Board #37: Warm White

I think warm white and I think coconut, white chocolate, pearls, cashmere, with all those delicious pink and gold undertones.

Mood: warm, classy
Palette: warm white

Cool white, with its silver and blue undertones, evokes images of crystal, ice, porcelain, and crisp white paper.

Mood: cool, chic
Palette: icy whites

Wow. Sorry for the late post again! I seem to be having some serious trouble with the internet lately. Anyway, here they are… Today we have two red and white boards, one for early summer and one for winter.

Board #35: Strawberry & Cream

In the early summer, red and white makes me think of berries and cream, picnic linens, and sweet simple fun. I imagined this board with a touch of French flair.

Mood: sweet, simply elegant
Palette: red, white, bits of black
