So sorry for the late post today friends! Some inspiration boards are easier to finish than others, and for some reason I had the hardest time finding just the right images to pull this look together. I was going for a picnic wedding, but with a slightly different feel than some of the other picnic inspiration boards I’ve posted. This time, instead of a retro kitschy look, I wanted something that was a little bit bold and utterly feminine. Maybe with a bit of a woodsy feel to it? Anyway, I hope you enjoy and that it was worth the wait!

Mood: relaxed romance, flirty fun

I was totally inspired by Stephanie Williams’ recent vintage-style photo shoot, especially this shot of the couple in front of an orange tree, and thought it would make for a beautiful look for a wedding. This is another example of how a gorgeous venue requires very simple decor.

Mood: vintage rustic
Palette: Valencia orange, almond, rust

I absolutely fell in love with this gorgeous tent from the Arabian Tent Company (photo by Polly Alexandre), so I thought I’d build a wedding board around it. Clean white and soft gray – a sweet palette that would work for almost any season, and in a variety of venues.

Mood: modern whimsy
Palette: white, dove, cloud

Maybe because it’s spring, but I’m really leaning toward pastels and muted colors lately. Today’s inspiration board imagines an overgrown garden, with a slightly wild, bohemian feel to it. Lots of flowers and vines, little votives hanging in trees, and hand-illustrated invitations create a sense of low-key elegance.

Mood: bohemian garden

Another color palette that I’ve yet to tire of – I hope you still love it, too! Something about this inspiration board transports me to Paris… A mostly white and very pale gray background is accented with butter yellow and black. Stripes add a touch of whimsy: package favors in striped boxes, wrap your bouquet with a striped ribbon, decorate with classic striped hat boxes. Incorporate figs and blackberries into your floral elements for a touch of black that isn’t overly sleek or stark.

Mood: whimsical French chic
Palette: butter yellow, black, pale gray, white
