I first discovered Max and Margaret’s work when Anne Sage interviewed them about their company, Unusually Fine Photography, and they were kind enough to let me share Sara and David’s shoot with you. This is not your average love shoot, which is exactly what I love about it. It’s intimate and sexy and sweet, and totally authentic. Doesn’t it feel a little like a retro movie? But why am I telling you this – on with the photos! Here are Sara and David (who, according to Max and Margaret, “aside from being very pretty to look at, are tres cool”) and Boston’s South End.

Don’t you just love love? And don’t Max and Margaret take awesome photos? And if you’re wondering if they’re any fun, check out this little blurb from their about page:

Max sports a moustache but Margaret does not. We have four legs and five languages between us. Plus a little French. Send us anywhere and we’ll be pretty alright. We love Rome. And Paris. And New York. And wherever it is that you want to take us, too. We love turning strangers into friends.

Fun, right?! See more Unusually Fine photos at their blog and find out more about them in this interview over at The City Sage.

Now that Snippet & Ink has been around for awhile (2 1/2 years feels like 100 in blog years!), I get some really wonderful emails from people – both brides and wedding professionals – who have pulled inspiration from one of my boards. I love this! And every once in awhile I get to share the results with my readers, like with this shoot from photographer Millie Holloman, styled by Jennifer at Salt Harbor Designs. Inspired by Board #379, they created this darling “Oranges & Ladders” shoot…

The shoot took place at the stunning Orton Plantation Gardens in Winnabow, North Carolina.

Headpiece by Blackbird, Blue and You.

See more from this shoot over on Millie’s blog, and be sure to stop by in a bit for part 2, where Millie and Jennifer printed these photos out to use in a vintage-citrus party!

Remember that NYC engagement shoot giveaway from a couple of months ago? Well Bryan Johnson from A Bryan Photo sent over these photos and 8mm from the winning couple, Annie and Jared, and I love the way they turned out. Winter in New York is so romantic…

(View a larger version here.)

Thanks so much to A Bryan Photo for sharing Annie and Jared’s love shoot and 8mm with us! You can see more fun pics from their trip to NYC over on the A Bryan Photo blog. Also, one more big thank you to all of the sponsors who helped make the engagement shoot contest possible: Cypress Albums, Richard Photo Lab, Traveler’s Joy, and Pro8mm who donated all of the film and processing for Annie and Jared’s 8mm film.

As a kid, I spent summers (still do!) in the Rocky Mountains in Montana, so every time I see photos on Carrie Patterson‘s blog, it makes me a little homesick for that place. Lindsey and Kevin’s engagement shoot was no different – an absolutely gorgeous shoot, complete with big sky clouds, in Wyoming’s Tetons. I also love how simple this shoot was – pick a special place, throw on some cowboy boots, and take some photos with the one you love. What could be better?! Though the couple lives in California, Lindsey shares a bit about their decision to hold their engagement shoot and their wedding in Wyoming:

“Kevin spent his childhood summers in Wyoming with his grandparents, and his family owns a small ranch outside of Jackson. I knew from the first visit I took with Kevin that it was the ideal location for our wedding. We both love the natural beauty and laid-back style that the state offers, and we look forward to having our guests experience the serene beauty we love so much!”

Though a thunderstorm threatened that morning, it broke up into clouds, providing great natural lighting for the shoot.

Thank you so much to Carrie Patterson for sharing these beautiful photos with us, and best wishes to you Lindsey and Kevin! You can see even more from this shoot, and from the gorgeous Tetons, over on Carrie’s blog.
