Last week I introduced you to Matthew Robbins’ Inspired Weddings, a delicious book full of beautiful wedding and event inspiration. In each chapter, Matthew Robbins transforms the simplest item into an entire event, drawing inspiration from the item’s color, texture, purpose… This week, a sneak peek at details inspired by a vintage Schoolhouse Map.

Here, some of the items that Matthew used to bring his map-inspired vision to life.

I love how a single map can inspire so much, from incorporating maps literally, to a color palette, to a cake from across the world.

More sneak peeks throughout the month of February, or you can purchase your very own copy from AnthropologieAmazon, or Barnes & Noble.

I recently received a copy of Matthew Robbins’ Inspired Weddings in the mail, and as someone who believes that inspiration can be found anywhere, I found so much to love in the way the book is organized. The wildly creative and talented Matthew Robbins shows how something as simple as French candy, or as personal as a favorite flea market find, can inspire an entire event. For each week in February, I get to share with you some of my favorite pages from this deliciously beautiful book, starting with Citrus.

How fun would it be as a wedding guest to receive a welcome gift like this?!

This is just a tiny taste of the citrus inspiration Matthew brings to life in this chapter.

If you love this, you’ll love the rest of the eye candy in this book. More sneak peeks in the weeks to come, but if you just have to have it all right now, you can purchase a copy from Anthropologie, Amazon, or Barnes & Noble.

In the midst of winter gray, citrus offers a bright, cheery respite. Today, Meg Smith and Ariella Chezar share a romantic inspiration shoot full of sweet yellow and lush citrus details.

The potted lemon trees are probably one of my favorite decor ideas of all time – what a perfect way to bring the feeling of a garden indoors during colder months. Thanks so much to Meg Smith and Ariella Chezar – what a talented duo!

When Meg Smith and Ariella Chezar team up, you know the results are going to be gorgeous, which is exactly the word I’d use to describe this tropical photo shoot…

How incredible is this bouquet? It almost looks as though it grew together like this in the rainforest.

Don’t you just love the use of fruit here? I think it adds so much richness to the table. And now I’m dreaming of Hawaii…

Part Two of this bold and romantic photo shoot! I always love the juxtaposition of completely different styles, and I think the various elements in this shoot achieve a perfect balance between modern boldness and soft, timeless romance.

The letterpress place cards untied to reveal a clever accordion-style menu.

In case you missed it, see Part One right here. And again, a huge thank you to all of the talented people who brought this shoot to life!
