I know you love all things preppy just as much as do, which is why I knew you would love today’s sunrise engagement shoot from photographer Erich McVey. Taken on a freezing cold morning at the beach, they sure turned out wonderfully…
Don’t you love these?! Kristin and Michael have known each other since they were children, but as Kristin says, “Our friendship kind of took a different turn during the summer of 2010 – something just started to click. We began hanging out with the same people, spent lots of time serving at our church together, and even separately started finding excuses to be around each other. We tried to ignore it and explain it away, but it soon became apparent that there was something there. We started dating in April 2011 and took the fast track to marriage – fell in love and got engaged in November, and are now anxiously awaiting our May wedding! It’s been the best adventure, and we’ve been blessed and surprised from the beginning.”

Says Fiona: ”Alix and Romain will tie the knot next summer in a gorgeous chateau in the French countryside. For their engagement photos, we simply took a stroll in their favorite spots around the city. Our session took place on pretty cold day in the midst of winter, but it was worth it! The streets of Paris always provide a beautiful, romantic backdrop for an engagement session.”

It’s that time of year when we’re all ready to bid winter adieu and welcome spring with open arms, so I thought I’d remind us what’s so wonderful about winter with this darling engagement shoot of college sweethearts, Michael and Olivia.
Says photographer, Bryce Covey, “We had planned to do the engagement shoot, then the snow storm came to Seattle, and Michael and Olivia were still game. The sun peaked through the clouds during the session which made for the most amazing setting to take photos in. The snow stopped falling just for the hour that we shot – we couldn’t have planned it better.”
