The Martha Stewart Weddings summer issue just debuted, and it’s filled with tons of great ways to personalize your big day!

Megan & David returned to their home state of Kentucky for a sophisticated wedding with gilded elements and modern details. The bride put her design skills into play, creating the stationery and overall look of the day. Gold paint, embellishments, and foil-stamping added glitz to the event, which took place in a art museum in downtown Louisville.

The issue is not one to be missed!  It’s filled with ideas on how to create a similar wedding aesthetic including, clip-art thank you notes, boozy favors, painted decor, and unique gift boxes.

Weekend links are coming up in a sec, but first a sneak peek from Flutter magazine…

Stylist Kelly Oshiro explains a bit about the shoot: “Kim from Flutter Mag approached me about doing a 12 look series on bridal style inspired by the signs of the Zodiac. For each sign, I looked to famous celebrities to get a sense of that sign’s style as well as researching the various characteristics of each sign. For Gemini, I looked to the most famous Gemini of them all, Marilyn Monroe. I choose a figure hugging mermaid gown and paired it with a colorful orange and yellow bouquet I arranged (Gemini apparently love color). Gemini are also playful so we used BHLDN’s Seaspray veil and had some fun with the wind that day in the tower at Sunstone Villa. For hair and makeup, we went with a 60’s bouffant, dark merlot lips and vintage earrings. I loved how this look came out!”

The newest issue of Southern Weddings hits stands today, and at over 300 pages, it’s their biggest issue yet! Here’s an exclusive sneak peek at their Honey & Pecan story – doesn’t it feel just perfect for this time of year?

I love this cake – it’s the perfect cross between rustic and elegant! See even more from this story (like a moonshine bar and honey tasting station) in the 5th issue of Southern Weddings. You can find copies at Barnes & Noble, Walmart, Target, Walgreens, and other grocery stores and pharmacies throughout the Southeast, as well as in their online shop.
