Carmen Santorelli is one of our newest Select vendors, so we’re thrilled to highlight some of her beautiful work today! Plus, she has a lovely treat for Snippet & Ink readers who book her before December 31st (scroll down for the details)…

Based in both California and New York, Carmen Santorelli specializes in destination weddings and will travel worldwide to shoot your wedding. She captures the emotions and moments of weddings with her fine art approach, and she believes that there is no better way to tell a story than through photographs. As she says, “Each wedding is a work of art. My ultimate goal is to create images from the day that will become treasured family heirlooms.”

Speaking of heirlooms, Snippet & Ink readers who book Carmen before December 31st, 2013 will receive a complimentary 6×6 20-page fine art album – that’s an $800 value! Nothing quite like a beautiful album full of priceless photographs to tell the story of your wedding day…

It’s always such a treat to highlight one of our longtime sponsors, Bario-Neal! I never get tired of their wedding rings, probably because each one is such a unique blend of classic and modern aesthetics. And, as always, Bario-Neal is committed to environmental responsibility, ethical sourcing, and marriage equality.

Handmade in Philadelphia with recycled metals and responsibly-sourced gemstones, Bario-Neal also work with your heirloom stones or recycle your precious metals in a custom design. And with the opening of their brand new showroom in New York, you can see their collections in person, or work directly with them to design a custom piece. And though it’s normally by appointment only, there’s an opening party tomorrow night! If you’re in the NYC area, be sure to stop by!

A couple weeks ago I mentioned that my sister Lora’s wedding was cancelled because of the flooding in Colorado, and rather than reschedule, she and Grant had decided to go ahead and elope – and I cannot wait to share those pics with you in a few weeks. But today I’m sharing their darling invitation suite from our friends at Minted

Their wedding was going to be a picnic lunch at the Lyon’s Farmette outside of Boulder, so my sister chose a playful kraft paper design, and customized it to fit their wedding details: kraft paper backer, red ink, and black gingham envelope liner to match the black checked picnic tablecloths. Minted also created an additional corresponding card for the after party. When I asked Lora about her experience working with Minted she told me that “it was really easy to use the site and to customize the design,” which has been my experience, too. I think the invitation suite turned out to be so charming, and really set the tone for what would have been a sweet, fun, picnic wedding. Thanks Minted!

(Note: The save-the-date in the picture was a DIY project and is not part of the Minted suite.)

Update! This contest is now closed.

How’s this for a fun way to start your Tuesday… BHLDN is giving one lucky Snippet & Ink reader a $500 gift card! Plus, Snippet & Ink has an exclusive sneak preview of BHLDN‘s newest wedding gowns! I decided to play a little virtual dress-up and pair them with some of my favorite BHLDN baubles…

The Fall/Winter collection initially debuted in August, but BHLDN is always introducing inspiring new pieces. I just love the glitzy, vintage-inspired look of some of these gowns… doesn’t Maxine look like she stepped straight out of The Great Gatsby?

BHLDN has something for every budget, from $600 to $3600 (lovely Bette here is $800), and whether your style is romantic, vintage, bohemian, or modern, you’ll be sure to find something you love. Maybe something featuring intricate details or textures? Or maybe a dress like Dakota with clean, elegant lines…

So I bet you’re wondering how you can enter to win the $500 gift card, right? Just visit BHLDN to browse the site and see their newest additions (I know, tough task drooling over BHLDN‘s beautiful wedding goodies), then come back here and leave a comment with a link to your favorite item.

Contest begins Tuesday, October 8, 2013 at 9:30AM PDT, and ends Friday, October 12, 2013 at 11:59PM PDT. Winners will be selected by Snippet & Ink, and notified by email. Please note: winners must live in the United States or Canada (excluding Quebec).
