Happy Weekend!

Gosh you guys, I can’t believe it’s already been two months since miss Caroline came into my life. All the cliche, cheesy things people say about having a baby have held true for me. And certainly some of the challenges, too. Needless to say, Ryan and I are just in love with this little person who has flipped our whole world upside down. This weekend we’re flying to San Diego for a short visit with my big sister and her boys – our first trip as a family of three! I consider a drive to the drugstore sort of exciting these days, so wish us luck on the short flight…

Shanley did an awesome job with weekend links while I was on maternity leave, but I’m excited to pick them up again – I really missed doing these posts while I was out!

  • Good luck! Get her to fall asleep before getting on the plane ;) Worked for Henry at that early age… :)

    • Kathryn says:

This was definitely the way to go – she slept half the time, and nursed the other half. Thankfully it was a short flight!

  • She is soooo beautiful! Those eyes are totally ridiculous – how will you ever say no to them? :-) Have fun on your trip! Remember that even if she cries, you’ll likely never see anyone on that airplane again. I still tell myself that as my four and half year old is opening and closing the window shade and I am hissing to him that if he doesn’t stop he’ll lose every privilege in the book. Someday airlines will offer flights based on the age of your kid and everyone will be so much happier.

    • Kathryn says:

Thank you Kate! This pic was actually what we used for her birth announcements – you should see her now. Chubby cheeks for days! Well, if you’ve seen my instagram you’ve probably seen them… :)

  • She’s a beauty!
Welcome in the “parents world” and… enjoy her as much as you can…. they grow up so fast…
