So many links for you today! But first, what are you up to this weekend? We’re supposed to get lots of rain, but hopefully that won’t dampen our Saturday plans to go out with friends. I’m also thinking of doing some recipe auditions for my Thanksgiving side dish contribution this year. In the running: sweet corn pudding, maple mustard brussel sprouts, and gratineed creamed onions. Do you like to try new recipes every year? Or do you have some tried-and-true yummies that you stick with?

We have a new Pinterest account! You can still follow my personal account here, but I think you’ll love the new Snippet & Ink account too.

I’m with you on Downton Abbey-I’ve yet to see it but considering how much I love just about any costume drama, I have a feeling it will become an addiction like my HBO shows or Mad Men, which keep me in suspense for months!

Thanks for your link to “lovely wedding style”. The silver filigree leaves on the bride’s dress and hair accents are so chic!

Kathryn – My husband started making this for Thanksgiving a few years ago. Slicing up all the sweet potatoes is a bit time-consuming, but it is a very complex and delicious set of flavors. I never liked sweet potatoes until this dish! (Note: my husband recommends doubling the amount of onions if you do make this.) http://nymag.com/listings/recipe/sweet-potato-gratin02/
