Blush gowns, baby’s breath and roses, champagne coupes and a towering white cake… all of these details make Emily and Christopher’s Louisiana wedding a perfectly timeless celebration. Captured by Select photographer Cassidy Carson, it’s a beautiful way to welcome the week.
Bridesmaids wore blush pink chiffon gowns and carried simple bouquets of pink roses baby’s breath.
Says the bride, “What was so special about the ceremony was that we included 2 old hymns sung by the congregation before the event started. It was neat to have the guests be part of the ceremony in a unique way.”
A sign that read #emandchrisweddingbliss encouraged guests to share their own photos from the day on Instagram.
The cake was decorated with pink roses, and the bridesmaids’ pink rose and baby’s breath bouquets were laid in a circle around the base of the cake.
This is quite possibly my favorite first dance shot of all time… what a unique and beautiful perspective!
Why did you choose this location for your wedding? The location was a close family friend’s home and I have always been in awe of how gorgeous it was. I was interested in having the combination of an indoor/outdoor reception and this location was absolutely perfect for all my desires. It was full of flowers, a running stream, and gorgeous Victorian style interior.
What inspired you when you were planning your wedding? I was inspired by spring, and emphasizing the natural beauty of the outdoors.
What was your favorite moment or part of the day? Because it’s so hard to narrow it down to one, I have three! First look in the pines, enjoying a peaceful walk and brunch with my sisters, and seeing family and friends who traveled so near and far to be a part of our special day.
Did you include any traditions in your wedding? As believers of Christ, we gave communion and prayed with our parents on stage. It was very important to us to keep the Lord centered throughout the ceremony.
What was the best advice you received as a bride? Enjoy every moment because the day will fly by.
What advice do you have for other brides? Even if something goes wrong during the day, it’s okay because you’re marrying the man of your dreams.
