With a love of music and all things vintage (and each other of course!), Geri and Zach had plenty of inspiration for their wedding at the beautiful Inn at Serenbe, and found ways to incorporate their personalities throughout the day. The ladies at SimplyBloom Photography kindly sent over some eye candy for us…
I kind of can’t get over Geri’s Miu Miu shoes – those bows!
On their ceremony: Our family friends played a violin and guitar for the ceremony processional (“We Rule The School” by Belle & Sebastian, “I’m in Love With a Girl” by Big Star), and for the recessional (“Home” by Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros). Our dog Bud walked down with our Maid of Honor because our wedding would not have been complete without him there. Bud has been my dog for 15 years and he is like our child.
Guests enjoyed bottles of Cheerwine and cream soda, Geri and Zach’s favorites.
White anemones with black centers fit the color palette perfectly, and were included in everything from the bride’s bouquet to the centerpieces to the cake.
From the bride and groom…
What inspired you? The day of our wedding was a complete reflection of us. We love nature, we love kitschy vintage things, we love music, and we love our dog. Geri loves black-and-white striped everything so it was a no brainer that would play a huge part in the wedding decoration. Since we love music and Zach is a musician, our escort cards looked like concert tickets and the groom’s cake was a record player. We also chose all the music for the cocktail hour, dinner, and reception: 1950′s and early 60′s music with Indie rock. Our perfect mix.
What was your favorite part of the day? There were so many favorite moments! I mean, we just had a fantastic time with everyone! We danced, ate amazing food, saw friends and family from near and far. It was a surreal and perfect day.
Do you have any advice for other brides? While we didn’t hire a wedding planner for the entire wedding process, it was important that we pay the little extra to have one for the day-of coordination. We hired Ashley Baber and let me tell you, both our families would agree it was the best decision we could have ever made. It made the day go so smoothly and she was an incredible help. Zach and I were mentally on a different planet that day, and Ashley helped us stay grounded and made the whole process stress-free. We were able to spend the day in awe of each other and not worrying about details. My other advice is that it will be a perfect day if you let it – things will go wrong but just overlook it. If you get upset or stressed you’ll ruin the day. While we can look back and think of the things that didn’t go our way, we would both agree it was still a perfect day.

OMG!!!! I love everything about this wedding. So classic and gorgeous and the umbrella. I am so happy with it :)
a beautifully classic wedding.
Drooling over this wedding… amazing!!! The dress… the umbrella… simply stunning!
Very pretty! I just have to caution other brides NOT to choose something with strawberry for your ONLY wedding cake flavor! Strawberries are one of the top 5 food allergens, so odds are good that you’ll have at least one guest who has to skip your cake. This has happened to me several times and I am always so sad…I love cake!
stunning! where are the bm dresses from? so classic!
I’m going to answer b/c I hard a hard time finding info on other brides details I liked. Our bridesmaid’s dresses were from J.Crew…Great dress they can wear over and over. The sashes we bought at a trim shop and the flower pins were made by The Old White House on etsy.
What a GORGEOUS wedding! Love the shoes, the black & white umbrella, the table numbers, and oh! the CAKE! So many amazing details.
I have to have that umbrella. So awesome. Any ideas where it’s from or where I can get one.
Gorgeous photos.

I’m not a fan of bands, but your wedding made ??me reconsider my views! It is so cool! Well though out and matched!I love the bouquet!Thank you for sharing!
The umbrella looks like a Bella umbrella. I think the black and white is called pinwheel. They run something around $120, but are gorgeous.
Love this! Colors, location, green details. What fun!
