With the internet playing such a large part in wedding planning these days, brides and grooms have so many more options as far as which vendors they can to work with – you’re no longer limited just to vendors in your area, or even in your country! Which is just part of why I’m happy to share Ruby & Willow with you. It’s a New Zealand company, but they work with brides worldwide to create the perfect wedding stationery – good thing, since they’ve got such beautiful pieces! Here are just a few examples of the work they do…

Offering both custom design and a ready-made Signature Collection, Ruby & Willow takes a personal approach to every client they work with, to make sure that you end up with wedding stationery that not only reflects the tone of the day, but also your personalities as a couple. Check out even more from Ruby & Willow on their website and at their Etsy shop, and keep up with them on Magnolia Rouge, their lovely blog.

This was just too fun not to share with you – I’m here in Birmingham where I’ll be speaking tomorrow at the A Bryan Photo workshop, and I am so excited to be here. I get to hang out with the whole A Bryan Photo team, the awesome Jonathan Canlas, Bill from Richard Photo Lab, Brian from Cypress Albums, and some other really wonderful people. Anyway, I get really nervous speaking in front of groups, so wish me luck with my talk!

Oh, and check in for some pretty posts this week – two engagement shoots and a wedding that I just couldn’t keep to myself any longer.

Finding the perfect wedding dress can be quite an ordeal, and trying to find the perfect vintage wedding dress is even more of a challenge. Unless, of course, you’ve gone straight to Whirlingturban. Well-known among vintage collectors as makers of some of the best vintage reproduction dresses out there, Whirlingturban has recently launched a Wedding Boutique, simplifying the search for the perfect vintage wedding dress. Here are a few of my favorite designs, including examples from real brides…

Whirlingturban’s Wing Bust dress combines the romance and tradition of a white dress with the whimsy of color – just a touch at the bustline (you can supply your own fabric for the contrast color to make sure it’s exactly what you want).

While Whirlingturban continues to create completely customized and custom-fit dresses, the prices in the newly launched ready-to-wear wedding boutique are incredibly reasonable, ranging from only $400 to $900! Even if you’ve never thought of yourself as a vintage bride, you might just change your mind when you see the wide range of styles that Whirlingturban has to offer.

@ginnybranch Thanks so much Ginny! Inspiring pics only tell a small part of the story - hopefully we can shed a little light on real costs.
