You know that faintest hint of blush that shows up on some pearls? That’s what I think of when I see this palest pink. Pair it with just enough strokes of black to make it edgy – fun for a sassy wedding palette!

Oh, and if you want even more color inspiration, head over to The Bride’s Cafe for my third color board guest post…

As summer starts winding down, I keep thinking about road trips. They are one of my very favorite things, and I think the whole feel of a summer road trip – or even just a quick day trip – would make for a lovely wedding or party. Set up a table outside, put some flowers in whatever container you have on hand, feed your guests and laugh. Sometimes less really is more.

Happy Monday! I thought that this week I would play around a bit with the look of my inspiration boards, pulling from non-wedding sources for inspiration, and to creating boards that focused on a few really strong images. Hopefully today’s inspiration board does that. I absolutely love the palette here, as well as the textures, and I tried to choose images that were somewhat playful – that don’t take themselves too seriously. What do you think? Does an inspiration board like this still help you to get a sense of an event or a look?

Mood: playfully preppy, feminine whimsy
Palette: vanilla, raspberry, indigo
