I’m moving a little slowly today folks. Sorry about that! I wanted to put together a board that was full of autumn colors – the fiery shameless ones. But also wanted to make sure I was channeling brilliant fall leaves, rather than McDonald’s decor, so I kept it slightly rustic, with an outdoor ceremony and a barn venue, and plenty of fun patterned fabrics. Happy Friday, and happy fall!

Mood: autumn cheer
Palette: all shades of red, orange, yellow

A few months ago I made an all-white inspiration board that was slightly modern, in shades of cool white and gray. Today’s board also uses an all-white palette, but it is warmer, and though the difference might be subtle, it does create a distinct look. The large round balloons, kitschy paper bells, and a cake decorated with crepe paper flowers add a touch of whimsy to a classic and sophisticated wedding. Cherry red nail polish adds just a touch of unexpected color. And how much do I love that dress by Victoria Beckham – who knew?

Mood: warm and classic, whimsical romance
Palette: warm white, cream, pale yellow

There is something incredibly simple yet divine about an aisle lined with potted fruit trees, and that was the main inspiration for this garden wedding board. That luscious organic look is echoed in the centerpiece, bouquets, and chandelier – pulling the garden into every aspect of this wedding. A seersucker suit for the groom, a bluegrass band, and an ice cream cart keeps the elegance of this wedding from feeling too stuffy.

There are trees on my street that were green one day, and golden yellow the next – it is definitely fall! Those colors, and the season, have inspired this warm, gilded wedding inspiration board today, with some luxurious heirloom touches. Paired with gold, yellow is raised to a new level of sophistication… what do you think?
