This gray ruffly dress from Nina Ricci is one of my favorite things I’ve seen in a long time – if my legs were that long I’d have to have it for myself. Instead, I’ve done the next best thing I can think of, which is to use it in an inspiration board. The romantic ruffles, the moody gray of the dress, and the blush pink on the model’s face and at the back of the runway. All of those things made me think of romantic flowers and frilly calligraphy, with a moody twist. The overall look reminds me of sunset over a city, particularly pink sunset over gray city, hence “Sidewalk at Sunset.”

Thanks so much for including my calligraphy in your sumptuous inspiration board!
Oh this is exactly the color scheme I’ve been imagining for my wedding! We’re having our wedding out in nature, in the forest, so our look isn’t quite as “urban”, but these colors are spot on! I’m definitely saving this one, thanks!
What a delightful color combination. I feel inspired.
