Carmen Santorelli is one of our talented Select vendors, and we were thrilled when she sent over this totally dreamy photo shoot from the coast of southern California. That veil! The bouquet! And those views! Romantic barely begins to describe it. To La Lune did such a lovely job with the concept and design, and I really can’t get over the bouquet by Plenty of Petals (did I say that already?).
From Carmen: The main inspiration for this shoot was the setting that we chose as our backdrop, the stunning Sunset Cliffs area in San Diego. The raw, organic beauty of the California coast line in this particular area is breathtaking, so we intended to keep all the design elements to a minimum, in order to let nature shine. Since the colors we were working with were tan (the cliffs and the beach) and blue (the sky and the ocean), we gravitated toward non-competing colors, like a nude/blush colored Claire La Faye gown, and a light gray J.Crew suit. Plenty of Petals created the most beautiful all-white bouquet with clematis, garden roses, and ranunculus, and To La Lune brought all the elements together, in perfect harmony. Last, but not least, our ‘bride’ is the principal ballerina of LA ballet (Allyssa Bross), so her grace and beautiful, fluid lines were one of the main elements that we wanted to focus on.
Sweet Lydia’s created two charming cakes for the shoot, both displayed on simple glass cake stands.
