Mia and Jared had a lovely wedding, with beautiful photos by Katie Stoops, but as the bride says, “Creating a party where all of our friends and family would have the best time was the most important thing – our focus was always on the celebration rather than anything else.” An important thing to remember when planning a wedding!

Bridesmaids wore simple seersucker dresses.

Says Mia: ¬†“Our ceremony was also really special to us. First off, being in the chapel on campus was very important to us. Jared’s cousin was ordained for the occasion and wrote such a sweet and beautiful script. We took readings from For Whom the Bell Tolls and our favorite My Morning Jacket Song and bagpipes played as we processed and recessed. We made it very personal and didn’t listen to any of the traditional ceremony must-dos which we were so happy for in the end.¬†People we barely knew said they teared up during our ceremony!”

A calligrapher wrote guests’ names on kraft paper cutouts, which were pinned to napkins with tiny clothespins, purchased from Oriental Trading.

Congratulations Mia and Jared! And thank you to Katie Stoops for the lovely photos!
