I was already registered at this fantastic store, so I just added the All-Clad measuring spoons. I wasn't going to indulge in these because they seem a bit excessive, but you gave me reason to put them on to see if anyone wants to add them to our kitchen!

    Thanks!

I love how in one post you managed to mark an item off my wedding checklist! I was debating between Williams Sonoma and another store! We are now happily registered with Williams Sonoma! I love the Kitchen Aid Mixer!

  • Melissa says:

Oh man! I'm a culinary student that drools over WS! My fiance and I are debating weather to register for gifts or our honeymoon. Obviously, considering my chosen career path, my vote is for WS all the way. What I would give for a set of All-Clad or Le Creuset!

Well, I just went ahead and set up a registry, so maybe we'll just keep it for the old schoolers who prefer to give something tangible:)

PS: Those of you who are registering for the Kitchenaid 610, unless you are regularly cooking for more than 10 people the Artisan will do you just fine! The larger bowl doesn't mix efficiently in regular sized batches, and the tilt head is a little easier to deal with.

  • Natalie Rae says:

I added standard stainless steel measuring cups and spoons to my registery :)

  • Anni {Lovely in Love} says:

We registered! I'm a cook-a-holic, and so we have an odd, mish-mashed collection of a Craiglisted Kitchen Aid Artisan, what I could afford from WS and Sur La Table at the time, and a handful of hand me downs. I can't wait to actually have some sort of cohesive look!

  • Lara says:

i updated our existing ws registry and added fondue plates. so fun!

  • KSTrillian says:

I agree with Melissa. I don't remember which model specifically I have, but I have a KitchenAid Pro with the bowl lift. Regular batches don't seem to be mixed as efficiently and my whisk doesn't reach the bottom of the bowl. The gap is large enough that even with 6 egg whites, the whisk barely touches the surface but can't whip. I have to start with a handmixer until it has enough volume, which defeats the purpose. :) The artisan will be great for your average cook (unless you're like my Mom and make 6 batches of bread dough in it at a time with thick hearty ingredients!)

    That said, I LOVE W-S!

  • Blue Green Arts says:

I am all registered! I can't wait to get all my free gifts in the mail! Thanks for sharing!

I think I went a little crazy with my selections. I think one of my favorites is the Chinois Pestle, Stand and Strainer. We used to make this wonderful Raspberry Vinaigrette Porkloin at a restaurant I worked for in Iowa. It had won several awards and a strainer is a must have to get all the raspberry seeds out. The only thing I can't register for is the mixer as my wonderful guy got me one two Christmases ago. I think it would be overindulgent to put a second one on, and where would I store it if I got it!?
