I’m not sure why, but this lovely photo by Alicia Bock immediately sent my mind to a beach house-inspired wedding. Something with washed out blues and sun-bleached whites, beachy textures like linen and seashells, and a feel that is both lovely and relaxed. I’m really excited about our wedding plans, but I do love the idea of renting out a beach house for the weekend, and hosting all of our favorite people for a low-key wedding weekend. If you were to host a beach house wedding, where would it be? Mood: beach house simplicity Palette: seaglass, sand, white {click image to enlarge}

    This is lovely. Try a beach house on the Gulf coast of FL. It is low-kwy place and not busy. It will be beautiful granted their is not a load of oil on the beaches.

    These colors take me to a cooler place than a typical tropical beach…I'd love a weekend beach wedding anywhere along the Oregon coast. Not too warm, but oh-so-crisp and beautiful.

    My dream wedding place would be in the San Juan Islands, Washington State. Has been my secret dream since I first experienced a summer in the islands on board my parents boat when I was 13. I am now way way older than that – but still love the San Juans!

    My husband and I just did this! We rented three adjoining beach houses in Oceanside, CA, and spent the week with our closest family and friends, with our wedding tossed in one day in the middle. We had the MOST AMAZING time!!!!!!!!! We've only been back a week and are still missing the waves. I would highly recommend the idea to anyone!
