This wedding from Select vendor Karen Hill is for all you winter brides out there! With it’s golden lighting, warm brick walls and fireplaces, The Bowery Hotel‘s old world charm makes it the perfect setting for a winter wedding in New York City, and Karen’s photos perfectly capture the drama of the season and the venue and the occasion.
From the photographer: “I love working with couples on their wedding days but I especially love the time we set aside for their portraits – it’s my favorite time of the day. Melanie and Greg’s portrait session was no exception, they did a first look, which in the winter in NYC, allowed us to do part of the photo session in daylight and though it was very cold out, it was also wonderful.”
Says planner Tzo Ai Ang of Ang Weddings and Events: “I loved the fragrance at the ceremony created by the dramatic garland that Rountree Flowers draped over the burning fireplace. It was made up of fresh lemon leaf, magnolia, juniper and pine. For dinner the tables were decorated with an organic rambling carpet of white pillar candles, which gave the room such an incredible glow. These were augmented by winter white blooms like white ranunculus, white spray roses, white anemones, dark privet berries and touches of velvety dusty miller.”
