Keryn & Bryce | Destination Wedding in Thailand
This week is all about getting away, with three stunning destination weddings, plus some delightful honeymoon ideas from some awesome guest bloggers! First up, a destination wedding in Thailand from photographer Corbin Gurkin, including a special guest (hint: it’s a baby elephant!)…
The couple incorporated a heart motif into both the stationery suite and day-of details.
See all of Keryn and Bryce’s romantic Thailand wedding in the gallery.
Why did you choose this location for your wedding? Bryce proposed in Thailand, and it was a moment I will remember forever. I was so shocked and surprised! We had the most special and perfect holiday, and the next day we started to talk about what we might like to do for our wedding. We’d always said we’d like it small and intimate and somewhere different, and as we looked around the resort we realized it would be perfect for our wedding.
What was your favorite moment or part of the day? The speeches were lovely and even Bryce had a tear in his eye at one point. I was emotional just having everyone there to share our special day. We are so lucky and hope everyone had as much fun as we did!
Did you include any traditions in your wedding? Something old and borrowed was my grandmother’s pin that she gave to my sister (who also wore it on her wedding day). My grandparents’ have been married a long time and always stuck together through everything, so it was nice to have something from them with me on the day.
What inspired you when you were planning your wedding? We love black and white, and we like simple, so nothing was too fancy or detailed. We chose blackboards for place cards and table numbers because it was a way to add black to our tables and we loved the casual look of hand written names.
What was the best advice you received as a bride? If you’re not happy with your dress you must find one you love and that makes you feel good wearing it!
What advice do you have for other brides? Having an overseas wedding would have been extremely hard without the help of our wedding planner. I know that if we did it on our own things would not have worked out so well.
