Board #226 | Bee Mine
I’ve done a honeybee wedding board before, but that was awhile ago, and I couldn’t resist creating one around the fabulous invitation suite that I saw on Melissa’s Smitten. It’s one of those themes that I think can really add to a wedding without taking it over. So here is a rustic honey wedding for late summer or early fall, complete with a beehive cake topper, honey favors, and poured beeswax candles. And how about vintage bee skeps for centerpieces?
Mood: sweet summer rustic
Palette: yellow, brown, gold

Let me preface this by saying I love your wedding boards. My question is, do you ever make winter wedding boards? I know winter weddings are not as popular but I am having the hardest time finding inspiration that does not include snowflakes, christmas tress or the color red. Our colors are black and white and that is about the only thing we have figured out. Pleas help!

Hi Lena! If you type in “Winter” using the search bar at the top of the page, a few winter boards should come up. Also, I did a black and white board that you can see here:

I hope that helps!
Sweet! Some more ideas:
The beehive cake from Williams-Sonoma (http://www.williams-sonoma.com/products/sku6766257/index.cfm?pkey=xsrd0m1%7C16%7C%7C%7C0%7C%7C%7C%7C%7C%7C%7Cbeehive&cm%5Fsrc=SCH) that you featured in Sweetness and Light board (http://snippetandink.blogspot.com/2007/10/board-22-sweetness-and-light.html) is a good DIY project for brides and grooms looking to save some money.
And Rakomelo is a Greek alcoholic beverage made from fermented honey.
Honeycomb makes for a sweet stirrer for tea.
Honeysuckle is a cute play on the honey theme, for those who don’t want sunflowers.
Burts Bees products would be theme-worthy bridesmaid gifts.
This would be such an adorable theme for one of the weddingbees!
Too, too cute!
Love this board!
This may be Ritzy Bee’s all time favorite board ever…for obvious reasons of course :)

I absolutely love your wedding boards! They are visual candy. I’m just beginning in this blog world and envy your abilities. I’d say you’re probably my favorite. My daughter is getting married in September, but I’ll probably keep watching long after that. One color palette that we considered was red and french blue. Have you ever done a board like that?
being from the beehive state I have a place in my heart for all thing bee related. Love this board!april
I love sunflowers! This is my favourite board:-)
I absolutely LOVE this warm, southern scheme. It makes me happy. :)
I am yet to decide on a scheme- every time i visit your site I get so inspired! But it always makes me second guess what I have chosen for the moment. I guess you’re just talented like that. :)
adorable! I love this one :)
do you have any idea where people get those large drink servers I see everywhere?
