Board #294 | Playful Poppy
Oh, I love red when it doesn’t take itself too seriously. Cherry red. Poppy red. Paired with cream and a few touches of the palest pink, red is playful and cheerful, rather than overly dramatic. I imagined a winter wedding when creating this inspiration board, but I think this palette could easily be translated into a spring or summer wedding. The yarn-wrapped vase by Paul Lowe is a simple detail that adds so much texture and interest, and I think a yarn-wrapped bouquet stem would work here, too. A variety of fun patterns adds to the playfulness of this look.
Mood: whimsical, bright
Palette: poppy red, cream, touches of pale pink

I LOVE IT!!!
The red lip might be my favorite part of this board. Gotta love a red lip!
I am so loving red these days. The perfect balance of red touches with all the fresh white. Very cool!
Storyboards are the starting point, and the inspiration for all of us…….thank you for including one of our headpieces in yours……..

Let me just say that those small cartons of milk are hard to come by now. I contacted so many dairies when I put together a milk & cookies theme party for my daughter where milk and cookies were the favor. I finally ended up with plastic bottles that had a vintage glass bottle look from Ronnybrook farms. But yeah – difficult to get the old mini cartons.
i love the red, especially with a few light pink accents… great board!
OOH! This is GORGEOUS!
oh I love this! I didn’t think I was a big “red” girl (okay, despite being a redhead), but this is just fabulous.
ooooo. such a pretty board. thanks for the lovely inspiration.
