Board #347 | Ladylike Linen & Buttery Silk Faille

I probably could have posted this photo by Ellen Von Unwerth on its own to provide you with inspiration today, but I couldn’t resist a wedding board based on Carolina Herrera’s “ladylike linen top and buttery silk faille and tulle skirt” (Vogue’s description).

Mood: lush, colonial Caribbean
Palette: yellow, ivory, black, tropical green

Love it! Love the dress as well. I think I’m becoming a fan of yellow all because of you!

  • annabelle says:

Oh, it’s so fun! I even feel a little warm Caribbean breeze blowing, despite my immediate chilly surroundings.

  • Bethany Fischer says:

That staircase is one of my favorite places! It’s from a buidong in Havana that houses, among other things, oneof the best restaurants in Cuba – Paladar La Guarida. So cool to see it here!

  • Courtney says:

OH wow. That skirt is gorgeous. I agree: it could stand on its own [however, I am glad you’ve created this pretty board around it].

Loving this board for it’s many florals and sweet details. That invitation is great.

ohh – i have the photo in my inspiration archives as well! so glad you did a board on it – just gorgeous!!

  • Natasha says:

Lovely dress! Lovely board. I adore anything that makes me think of long, languid days in the Colonial-era tropics. (Well visually, if not politically) Sigh.

  • Cote de Texas says:

I love this – that picture in the hat is wonderful!!! thanks for giving my blog credit for the Messel house – much appreciated, thank you!

  • Glamboge Events & Design says:

Does Anyone know where I could find that skirt, i.e. which collection it is from?
