Inspiration boards are back today with more wedding photos…. what do you think? I’d love to know your thoughts – do you prefer this type of inspiration board, with more wedding-specific images and ideas? Do you prefer the ones that I posted the last two weeks? Or would you like to see some of each? Snippet & Ink wouldn’t be what it is without my dear readers, and I can’t tell you how valuable your feedback is. Either leave a comment or shoot me an email with your thoughts!

In the meantime, here is a sassy and romantic, rock-n-roll in the garden wedding board for you…

I have really been enjoying the recent style of boards – I think they show how much can be done with them and are more about moods than colours and tone.
Having said that I love love love the wedding ones too. Can we have both? Is that too greedy??

  • Jessica Lynn says:

I'm partial to the more wedding-specific inspiration boards. I like seeing something and trying to figure out how I could make it fit in my wedding with my colors, theme, etc.

  • Anonymous says:

I like both. At first I really missed the wedding-specific boards, but I also see the benefit of the different boards. Could you mix it up, from day to day?

  • Melanie says:

I love this board, as it is very inspiring. And I also would like to see both if possible…

  • Michelle says:

Definitely both–the specifics are always nice, but the color combinations and moods such as raspberry and indigo or lavender and cherry are inspiring in a different way. Thanks for asking!

  • donna says:

i think it's all good — inspiration is inspiration!
also, i envy the owner of that pink typewriter above…drool.

  • K. Anela Holck says:

Wouldn't it be cool to have a type-writer set up for guests to leave their advice/thoughts, especially if the typewriter is hot pink.

  • shanon says:

Yay! I love that bouquet and the bucket of umbrellas. =)

And even though I'm long since married, I really enjoy the wedding boards the most.

  • Michele says:

I love all inspiration boards you post but I prefer the wedding-specific boards. I agree with Jessica Lynn, the wedding-specific boards help me figure out what I can do with my wedding.

Hi! I'm a big fan of your original inspiration boards. These are so much better because you can get so many ideas on specifically how to incorporate a theme or tone to your wedding. Granted the other inspiration boards get the creative juices flowing, but when it comes down to it, sometimes you don't have time to re-invent the wheel! Love the blog!

  • Leslie (Roaming James) says:

Variety is the spice of life, right? I love the idea of including a mixture. The Rock-N-Romance board is so clever. I like K. Anela's idea about using a typewriter for a guestbook of sorts. The Rock-N-Romance theme would be great for a bridal shower too. Now I just need to get my hands on a hot pink typewriter. :)

  • Shana says:

Definitely your original wedding inspiration boards!!! I LOVE weddings, so (as beautiful as your recent boards have been – talent is talent) I've gotten into the habit of just glossing over them. I want to see dresses, invitations, cakes, shoes, save-the-dates, centerpieces, etc.! – all done in your amazing, unique style and vision. I love seeing you take a theme and turn it into a wedding!

  • Chicista Weddings says:

I find that weddig-specific boards are more useful, but the others are pretty to look at. A happy medium of both would probably be best.

  • Anonymous says:

I'm more of a fan of the wedding specific, but sprinkling in the different ones would be nice, imo…

  • Peonies and Polaroids says:

Gorgeous, I especially love the typewriter.

Personally I prefer the less weddingy inspiration boards but that's just because I'm not looking for wedding inspiration any more but I still love your eye for colour and atmosphere. Both are gorgeous though, I think we need both!

All the boards are fun, but I like the wedding boards, since they're most useful to me in planning my wedding. Speaking of which, any chance for a rustic fall wedding board soon? Fall weddings are coming soon! Thanks!

  • Alyssa Goodnight says:

I love all the boards, but the wedding boards seem more jam-packed with beautiful images, so I'm a little bit partial to them.

That said, I love every post. :)

  • Magnolia Rouge says:

Love them both – I think we can take inspiration from a variety of sources!

  • The Introitus says:

I definitely like the more wedding specific ones. While the other boards still conveyed a "feel" or a "mood", my not so crafty mind found it hard to see how I could translate it to a wedding.

  • barchbo says:

I really love the boards that have a variety of inspirations! When I did my own board (inspired by you) I had a multitude of different things on it – flowers, nail polish, a coffee mug, book covers, magazine covers, fonts – inspiration can come from anywhere, right?!

That said, I appreciate the people that really prefer a specific theme – love that, too! Your site is so much fun! Even though I am married now, your boards always make me a little happier – who doesn't enjoy a love-inspired party?!

  • {this is glamorous} says:

sometimes it's nice to have a mix + always love all your inspirations boards — so lovely!

  • limekilnlatitudes says:

i'm going to cast my vote for the *less* wedding-oriented boards – they're such inspiration for dinner parties and picnics and general entertaining long after the wedding is over… and for those of us not getting hitched any time soon. :)

  • chirpypig says:

I'm searching for a fuchsia inspiration for an October wedding for my best friend. I know she wants peonies but knowing that it probably won't be in season by then I want to help her look into alternative flowers so that I can find a bride's maid dress that would match. I like the bouquets in this post but they seem to be mostly peonies. Would you have any suggestion?
