Cotton Candy Anniversary Party from Flowerwild & Twine Events

My husband and I have always participated in the yearly anniversary gift tradition (e.g. 1st year paper, 2nd year cotton, 3rd year leather, etc). The first few years we bought gifts for each other, but after a few years we realized it was much more fun to purchase something we both love and can use together! It’s fun to see how other couples take a meaningful wedding tradition and make it their own—like in this charming cotton candy-themed anniversary party designed by Flowerwild and planned by Twine Events. It’s filled with so many thoughtful and playful inspiration. I mean—who doesn’t want to start off their Monday with the most beautiful classic cotton candy color palette?
Details from the day reflected the pastel colors of cotton candy. Guests were encouraged to wear pastels to keep things light and happy, while playful pink bowties served as escort cards—how fun!
No opportunity for a pop of pastel went overlooked, like these pink suspenders for each member of the waitstaff.
Twine Events and Flowerwild pulled in lots of retro influences, too—like these amazing Fred Astaire & Ginger Rogers decals for their custom dance floor! They also included an array of playful retro-themed candy.
Guests enjoyed interactive elements including a photo booth that created gifs of themselves in front of a cotton candy sky, while a balloon board was a fun target for throwing darts.
From an anniversary party to a whimsical reception, this cotton candy-themed celebration is full of sweet inspiration for any affair! How will you celebrate your own anniversary? Will you be throwing a big party this year?
Okay, I’m a little bit obsessed with this anniversary party! I love the creative take on the ‘cotton’ year and the use to last year’s Pantone Colors of the Year is perfect. Every detail is spot-on and I’m bookmarking this for the future!
