[Melissa at Ruby Press always posts about products and places that I never see anywhere else – she’s introduced me to so many wonderful things that way. And even though these days she’s busy with the newest addition to her family, she very sweetly agreed to write up a fab guest post for me.]

When my husband and I got married 7 years ago, we booked a gorgeous white vintage Silver Cloud Rolls-Royce with aqua blue leather interior that was just dreamy {see it here}. I think the get-away car shouldn’t be an after-thought…in fact, it could dictate the style of the entire wedding!

This classic, cherry-red Mercedes would make the perfect exit at an intimate Brooklyn wedding, with a jazz brunch catered by Sunday Suppers and a table set with vintage silver, an antique white linen table runner and calligraphed place cards on a long farm table big enough for the bride, groom, and only their very closest friends and family.

This sleek Citroen begs for a bride with a deep, smoky eye, a pale nude/pink lip, a killer vintage dress, and antique crystal rhinestone earrings. The reception would include a Francois Hardy tune for the first dance, champagne served in vintage glasses, and espresso-flavored French macaroons instead of cake.

This vintage mint green Wagoneer calls for a preppy picnic wedding in Vermont, complete with big comfy plaid blankets instead of tables, classic cokes with red and white paper straws, and individually-sized cherry pies for dessert.

A tangerine VW bus would be perfection at a barefoot, outdoor Mexican beach wedding with mouth-watering local food {think fish tacos, chunky guacamole, and watermelon agua frescas!}, classic pinatas for the kiddies, and flowers tangled into the bride’s hair.

If a BMW 2002 is your get-away car, then wouldn’t a sunny, afternoon Palm Springs wedding held at a chic mid-century modern home with floor to ceiling windows, a lemon-yellow vintage cocktail dress in place of a traditional wedding dress, and a pool party reception with candy-colored cocktails be super chic?
