Board #413 | Black and Pearl

You know that faintest hint of blush that shows up on some pearls? That’s what I think of when I see this palest pink. Pair it with just enough strokes of black to make it edgy – fun for a sassy wedding palette!

Oh, and if you want even more color inspiration, head over to The Bride’s Cafe for my third color board guest post…

  • True Blind Faith says:

The hint of blush makes it so romantic and keeps the traditional black and white color scheme from looking stale.

  • jociegal says:

Oooo – this is basically what I am going for in my wedding. My bouquet is going to have black in it, along with white and pink and I am so excited.

  • Jasmyn says:

The use of pale pink rather than bubblegum or hot pink takes away the kitsch from this popular color combo and makes it appropriate for a mature, elegant affair. Well done!

  • Lime Street says:

This is the palate that I'm using for my wedding, too! The blush was actually a last minute addition when the mens black ties & black suits started to seem a bit dreary, but we ran with it!

I'm going to have dark berries in my bouquet as well, but am starting to have concerns that they may stain my dress. Does anyone have any berries-in-the-bouquet advice?

  • Berry says:

Wow! This could not be anymore fabulous!

Also – the title of this post makes me think of Pirates of the Carribean! =P

  • {this is glamorous} says:

Such a fantastic combination! Who knew pink + black could be so flirty and pretty?

  • The Wedding Contessa says:

The bouquets are simple elegance and very beautiful!

  • Pauline says:

This is exactly what I was envisioning… I loved that you also included the Mood: Sugar with an edge. PERFECT for me! I don't think my friends understood when I was trying to explain it, but this mood board will show off how stunning these colors are. Thank you!
