After nearly ten years of blogging, we have some real gems in our archives, and it seemed a shame to think they might be buried by newer posts! So we’re dusting off our favorites…

From the bride’s gorgeous tulle ball gown, to the oval cut engagement ring, classic tuxedos, and incredible venue The Rosewall, Abbi and John’s Nashville wedding has all the makings of a perfectly timeless celebration… not to mention Jen Huang’s beautiful photos of the day!
The bride paired her Reem Acra ball gown with white satin Manolo Blahnik pumps, and a tulle veil embellished with lace by her mother.
Abbi carried a bouquet of barely-pink roses, white ranunculus, and stephanotis blossoms.
Bridesmaids wore floor-length chiffon dresses in pale blush pink, and carried romantic pink and white bouquets.
“The Scarritt-Bennett Center was one of the few non-denominational chapels to get married in Nashville, and we loved its beautiful architecture.”
Your ceremony in three words. Traditional, musical, religious.
How did you go about planning your ceremony? Music was the most important aspect of the ceremony. We had a Catholic ceremony, so the order and traditional nature of the ceremony were set, which allowed us to focus on the music. This really helped structure the ceremony.
Did you include any traditions in your ceremony? We had a traditional Catholic ceremony, with traditional vows, and classical music. John’s childhood priest officiated.
Guests waved ribbon wands as the newlyweds exited the chapel.
“We wanted a venue close to downtown Nashville, and The Rosewall is owned by a Nashville restaurant group that we are big fans of. Our black-tie wedding was full of soft colors, and decidedly Southern. The food was amazing, and we had so much fun dancing the night away. The only thing we would have done differently? Hire a wedding planner!”
